  • My results are in on TrafficSwarm. I DEFINITELY like this system. The traffic I've received has given me results already (casino affiliate downloads, SurveySavvy signups, etc.). Now that I'm getting TrafficSwarm referrals, the number of credits in my account will only grow faster and faster. I'm pretty fired up about it.

My first concern was "is this auto-generated traffic" or "are these people all zombies passing through your site to get their credits and leave". I wanted real visitors that would give my sites a chance to be "heard". In my honest opinion, the answer is "yes" and "yes". The system spends your credits just to display your ad. 3000 credits is 3000 displays. My first thought was "well that's not pure hits", "this isn't 3000 hits then". I'd then get about 1 hit for every 10 displays. After I thought about it awhile, I realized that this is better. No system can force a real visitor on your website and make that visitor actually read your content. The Internet is full of "Auto-surf" and free-for-all garbage traffic sources where no one wants to see or investigate the ad or the website. When someone clicks your ad in TrafficSwarm, the user had to go out of his or her way to CHOOSE your ad. Yes, there is a credit incentive for visiting, but if your ad and website "stand out" it will get looked at by an interested visitor. I saw the results in my own tracking reports that had nothing but Trafficswarm hits for chosen pages. If these people were just zombies, I would have had 0 results, which wasn't the case. I'm sure many of the hits are just "credit-seekers", but for a system that gives you hits for free, I'll take a bunch of them if many of those hits are actually reading my content.

I'll retain my original post about TrafficSwarm below.

  • (05/03/04): I'm always on the lookout for new sources of traffic, because traffic is what makes any Internet business work. I just found out from an "Internet authority" that his #3 source of traffic is one that I've known about for a year, but have passed up because I thought it was "just another waste-of-time-traffic-scheme". TrafficSwarm is a free "viral" traffic source that basically trades hits for credits. You get credits by visiting other member websites and by other ways. What really made the system fly for him was referrals. Credits for referrals go 5 tiers deep. When I checked how many credits the member with the most referrals (5000) had, it was over 2.5 million. Geez!

Since, I didn't want to spend too much time surfing "needlessly", I checked out the "buy credits" option. The gold membership more or less doubles the credits for all the normal ways of getting them with a free membership, in addition to giving you 2500 credits. It also doubles your referrals credits. What also caught my attention is that TrafficSwarm has its own search engine that members are encouraged to use because it will earn them credits. Even if the members do have "an incentive" to visit the sites in there, ultimately its still a visit. My thinking is that "advertiser-friendly" products could do well in their search engine because "you're preaching to the choir" in a way. I decided to upgrade my free membership and invest the $30 a month in the Gold membership so that I can get 2500 more credits and start testing their traffic's conversion rate. I'll have more info about how I'm doing with this system in the weeks to come.

  • I just finished my new search engine optimization page. I decided to go the do-it-yourself route with search engine optimization, instead of hiring a company to do it, and I'm SO glad that I decided to do it this way. The page is long and maybe the wordiest one I've ever done, but it had to be that way to cover everything. I hope everyone finds it useful.

  • I'm now beefing up the free advertising section. I've added some of the free pay-per-click engines that I've used to build my survey income. Free advertising is really nice!

  • SurveySavvy just went over 10 million dollars in survey payments to participants. I now call it "The Little Residual Income That Could"! You should see the look on some people's faces when I personally tell them about it. What I like the most is the "permanent" part of getting referrals. 10 years from now, I'll still have the same referrals that I have now, plus a whole lot more. That keeps me focused on the long-term.

  • I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has written me for whatever reason. I really enjoy hearing from you, and it makes this website more fun to promote.
